B. Ed Distance Education is a 2 years professional degree program for applicants planning to pursue a career in teaching. B. Ed (Bachelor of Education) Distance Education program is designed, for applicants, to gain an understanding of teaching-learning process between teachers and students. Teaching is considered to be a reputable profession as teachers are given the responsibility of educating the future of the country. In India, B. Ed degree is a mandatory qualification for teaching at secondary (standard 6th to 10th) & senior-secondary (standard 11th & 12th) classes. B. Ed course can be going after in, both, regular and distance learning modes. Distance B. Ed allows candidate to approach the course and pursue the degree, from anywhere, without having to attend the college physically. There are several, UGC-AIU-NCTE-DEB approved, universities in India offering B. Ed (Bachelor of Education) through Distance/ Regular/ Correspondence/ Online mode.

Candidates having Graduation degree in any discipline are eligible to taking admission into B.Ed.

Candidates having Graduation without any prior 10+2 qualification are not eligible for this course.

Eligible aspirants must be working as a teacher in any govt./private schools to purse B. Ed course through Distance Education.

30K – 90K Per Year (As fees varies according to universities)

There is no age bar for eligible candidates to pursue B.Ed.

B.Ed degree can be offered in Regular as well as Distance mode. B. Ed degree pursued from UGC-AIU-NCTE-DEB approved universities are absolutely valid.

The B. Ed course was of one year till the academic year 2014-15. NCTE, with an objective to ensure quality teachers’ training, extended the duration of the program from 1 Year to 2 Years in year 2014. As of now, B. Ed is a 2 years course, declared by NCTE in its notification issued in 2014.
